i
"AMA
RR
29, 1992
Former Unocal Station No. 2859, Stockton, California
The boring will take approximately 4 hours to drill, and the well will take approximately 2
hours to install. Two subcontractor personnel will operate the drill rig, and a geologist from
RESNA will be present at the site during drilling. The well will also be developed to
remove sediment from the well and then sampled by a geologist from RESNA. Each of
these tasks will take approximately 3 hours and will be conducted on separate days. We
anticipate the well will be developed and sampled within 4 days following the drilling.
Every effort will be made to keep the work area clean and to restore the area to the
original condition when the work is completed. We will contact your lessee to coordinate
drilling operations and to discuss which days of the week are most convenient for the lessee.
y
We. tentatively plan to construct this monitoring well in February 1992. Upon receipt of
your consent, we will contact the lessee to schedule a date for our work, and we will inform
you of that date.
Depending on the findings of this phase of the investigation, the well may require periodic
f monitoring or groundwater sampling. A geologist from RESNA may periodically need to
gain access to the monitoring well for data acquisition for approximately 1 year, or as
required by regulatory agencies. After data from the well are no longer needed, the well
will be properly destroyed by drilling it out with an 8-inch-diameter auger and backfilling
the borehole with neat cement. The ground surface will then be restored to resemble the
surrounding ground material.
have included two copies of Unocal's Standard Access Indemnification Agreement and
We p g
a prepaid return envelope. Please signify your authorization for RESNA and our
subcontractors right of access to the referenced property by signing in the designated space
and returning one of the Agreements to us. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
We will contact you at least 48
0123bbro
38012-10 2
