2.20 The contractor shall bear the cost of repair or replacement of utilities damaged during construction activities. Any property damage during construction activities by the Contractor that are not a part of these drawings, shall be the Contractor's responsibility to repair or replace. 2.21 Contractor shall install equipment and appurtenances in accordance with respective L manufacturer' installation manuals. Altemative equipment shall be approved by Engi- neer. 2.22 Contractor shall remove and dispose of all debris generated from the site as required by new work at Contractors expense_ 3.0 PLUMBING 3.1 All new soil vapor conveyance piping shall be pressure tested. Engineer must witness testing. Contractor shall notify Engineer a minimum of 48 hours prior to testing. All conveyance piping shall pneumatically pressure tested to 10 psi and held for 1 hour. No pressure drop will be permitted. Should testing indicate leakage or other default, the LContractor shall make acceptable repairs at Contractors expense. 3.2 Unless specifically noted on drawings PVC pipe shall be solvent welded in accordance with manufacturers'specifications and Caltrans Section 20-2.156(1). 3.3 After installing the propane tank the Contractor shall attempt to activate equipment on the new fuel delivery system or otherwise test the fuel delivery system to insure that the system and valves have been connected property. 3.4 True-union bail valves shall be used where specified. 4.0 PERMITS 4.1 Permits for the project will be applied, and paid for by the Engineer. The Engineer will obtain the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District Authority to Construct permit. The Contractor will obtain all other permits required for construction and opera- tion of the remediation system.
