4 - 1
r July 28, 1988 AGS Job No. 38012-2
Former UNOCAL ,service Station, Stockton, California
of contaminants has had an adverse impact on local ground-water
resources. This report describes the work conducted for this
investigation, summarizes the data collected, and presents our
interpretation of these results and recommendations for
additional work.
BACKGROUND
Two former underground gasoline storage tan's were located to the
northeast of the station building. Information provided by
personnel of UNOCAL Corporation indicates that the two 10,000-
gallon tanks were used to store super unleaded and regular
unleaded gasoline. A 550-gallon waste-oil tank was located east
of the station building. The approximate locations of the tanks
are shown on the Generalized Site Plan (Plate P--2) .
North Cal Construction of Stockton, California, was responsible
for removing the tanks, acquiring permits, and notifying the
appropriate authorities. Mr. Andre O'Neil of the Stockton Fire
Department and Ms. Debra Karew and Ms. Kasa Israel of the San
Joaquin Local Health District (SJLTiD) were present during removal
of the tanks and soil and ground-water sampling.
2
APV1i4rd GeaSyste1nS
