July 28, 1988 AGS Job No. 38012-2 <br /> k Farmer UNOCAL Service Station, Stockton, California <br /> 04 <br /> LOCAL GEOLOGY <br /> r-� <br /> The site is located within the Eastern San Joaquin County Ground- <br /> Water Basin, as defined by the California Department of Water <br /> Resources (1980) . The area is underlain by flood basin and <br /> fluvial sediments consisting of clay, silt, and sand (California <br /> Division of Mines and Geology, 1966) . The topographic surface is <br /> nearly flat with a slight westward slope. Three surface streams <br /> F are in the vicinity of the site: 1) Yosemite Lake, the eastern <br /> terminus of Smith's Canal, located approximately 2,000 feet west <br /> of the site; 2) the eastward extension of the Stockton Deep Water <br /> Channel (including MacLeod Lake) , located approximately 1 mile <br /> south of the site; and 3) the Calaveras River, located <br /> approximately 6,000 feet northwest of the site.
