The locations of municipal water- <br /> supply wells in the vicinity of the site are shown on the Site <br /> Vicinity Map. These wells are operated by California Water <br /> Service. one municipal water-supply well operated by California <br /> Water Service is located within 1,000 feet of the site. The <br /> s locations of known public utilities near the site are depicted on <br /> the Proposed Monitoring Well Location Map (Plate P-3) . <br /> FIELD WORK <br /> 13 <br /> The data obtained during this investigation were collected to <br /> define the lateral extent of hydrocarbon contamination onsite. <br /> The work performed included drilling three soil borings using a <br /> drill rig equipped with hollow-stem augers, constructing three <br /> ground-water monitoring wells in the borings, collecting and <br /> analyzing soil and <br /> y g ground--water samples, and calculating the <br /> ground-water gradient. <br /> 8 <br /> Ar7,01ied 0600 OMs <br />
