4. The Engineer will inspect standpipe installations. Contractor will be <br /> responsible for any modifications to standpipe installations requested by the <br /> Engineer. <br /> B. Soil Vapor Monitoring Probe: <br /> 1. Place well box such that top of lid extends approximately 1/2 inch above <br /> rough grade. <br /> 2. Survey top of well box_ <br /> 3. Set well boxes in-place with concrete as indicated. <br /> 4. The Engineer will inspect well box installations. Contractor will be <br /> responsible for any modifications to well box installations requested by the <br /> 3.7 CONTAINMENT AND DISPOSAL OF DRILLING SPOILS AND DRILLING FLUIDS <br /> A. All drilling equipment and tanks or bins used for containment of fluids and <br /> solids generated during drilling activities must be decontaminated prior to <br /> arrival at the Site. The Engineer will inspect all equipment prior to the start of <br /> drilling operations. ' <br /> 1. The driller shall steam clean all equipment used down-hole prior to f <br /> commencement of drilling and shall containerize all decontamination 11 <br /> water. f <br /> B. Solids and Fluids Containment and Disposal: As specified in Section 02671- <br /> �_ Dual Phase Extraction Wells and Soil Vapor Extraction Wells. <br /> 3.9 CLEANING AND SURVEY <br /> A. Clean work area, re-grout if necessary. <br /> B. At completion of well activities at a specific well location,the well shall be <br /> marked with an identifier to facilitate subsequent surveying. <br /> C. Contractor shall survey all new wells to define location and elevation. <br /> 1. A state-licensed surveyor shall perform survey. <br /> 2. All surveying activities shall be conducted under supervision of the <br /> Engineer. <br /> 3. Wells shall be surveyed both horizontally and vertically using the <br /> existing control monument specified in Section 01500. <br /> 4. The location of the top of the well casings shall be established to the <br /> nearest+/-0.01 foot vertically and the nearest+/-0.1 foot horizontally. <br /> l <br /> END OF SECTION <br /> 02672-5 ERM 10/98 <br />
