Take soil and ground water 6amples according to the <br /> PHS/EHD guidelines . <br /> TASK 3 INTERIM REMEDIAL ACTION <br /> A. Treat and/or dispose of, the polluted soil stockpile at " <br /> the site, and obtain any necessary permits that are <br /> required prior to Conducting treatment/disposal activi- <br /> ties . The estimated volume of the excavated polluted <br /> soil is 180 cubic yards . <br /> B. Conduct other remedial actions as needed. Although not <br /> anticipated, if free product is found during the PSA, <br /> it must be removed and legally disposed of' as soon as <br /> possible. If ground water is found to be polluted and <br /> it immediately threatens any municipal or domestic <br /> wells, then the appropriate action must betaken to <br /> control the pollution plume and prevent any impact on <br /> such wells . <br /> TASK 4 LABORATORY ANALYSIS <br /> A. Deliver all soil and groundwater samples to an analyti- <br /> cal laboratory licensed by the State of California for <br /> hazardous materials work. The samples shall. be handled <br /> according to the "Chain of Custody" requirements <br /> specified in the PHS/EHD UST Corrective Action <br /> Guidelines . In addition, any necessary duplicate sam- <br /> ples, trip blanks , or other "quality Assurance/Quality <br /> Control" measure required by the Guidelines shall also <br /> be followed. The samples shall be analyzedfor Total <br /> Petroleum Hydrocarbons (gasoline) and BTX&E. (Benzene, <br /> Toluene, Xylene, and Ethylbenzene) . <br /> TASK 5 REPORT PREPARATION <br /> i <br /> A. Prepare a technical report which documents ,,�the above <br /> activities and analyzes/discusses the data :collected, <br /> and send four copies to Owner, at 3247 W. March Lane, <br /> Suite 210, Stockton, CA 95219, for forwarding to the <br /> LRA. The report shall include an executive' summary of <br /> investigation activities and results, a tabulation of <br /> all soil and ground water data, laboratory 'data sheets, <br /> and any recommendations for further work if; the data <br /> warrants it. <br /> H. Meet with legal counsel and PHS/EHD personnel, each at <br /> least once, if required, to discuss any report defi- <br /> ciencies .
