Initial inspection <br /> and evaluation of the nil.e ie L�ustoinarily adneluated by the local ITAP1e1:1ttating <br /> agency (LIA), which in this case watt the San Joaquin Local Health District. <br /> The local implementing agency was represented by Mr. J*mie Favila, who was <br /> present to observe the tank removal and sampling. <br /> In accordance with the local regulations and the field judgement of the LIA <br /> representative, a detailed inspection was conducted in which the tanks were <br /> visually inspected and likely failure points were probed with small pointed . <br /> metal examination tools. No holes were observed in any of She tanks. <br /> Standard RWQCB interface samples were taken at locations selected by the LIA <br /> inspector. The exception to standard procedure was the waste oil tank <br /> sample. Mr. Favila's original directive had been to sample half way between <br /> 'the fill pipe and. the middle of the tank. Mr. Favila later accepted, a single <br /> sample from the middle of the tanks eta adequately representative.. Line <br /> trench samples were taken at regular (twenty foot) intervals at depths <br /> specified by the LIA inspector. <br /> Information on the exact location of a particular sampling point will be <br /> found on the UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK .REMOVAL AND SAMPLING L,OC Find the <br /> TA13LE OF SAMPLING LOCATIONS AND ANALYTICAL RESULTS. The location of <br /> individual sampling points is shown an DIAGRAM TWO-A, and the location of <br /> stockpiled material is shown on DIAGRAM TWO-B. Additional information on the <br /> exact method of sample collection will be found in the SAMPLING METHODOLOGY <br /> section of this report. <br /> After completion of the field work, the sample containers were delivered to <br /> Segmoia Analytical Laboratory in, Redwood City, California.
