ExAiBrr F--Z <br /> San Joaquin Local Health District Re. Re-Excavation/resample work plan <br /> Jud 14,~1989 - Page 2 of 2 _ _ _ 303 N. Pilgrim, Stockton , CA <br /> Projected additional excavated soil will be 769 cubic yards - requiring a minimum <br /> total of 31 soil samples. Soil samples will be taken as follows - <br /> 12 side wall samples -- 3 samples from the center of each wall at 5 foot <br /> intervals 1n depth, starting at 13' (i .e. 13' , 18' and 23' ) . See <br /> Drawing "D" for side view of existing excavation, proposed excavation, <br /> and proposed side wall sample locations. <br /> 9 bottom samples spaced evenly across the length and width of the hole <br /> See Drawing "E" showing top view of existing excavation, proposed <br /> excavation, proposed placement of excavated soil and bottom samples. <br /> 10 remaining samples w}11 be composite samples of the excavated soil . <br /> The 2�' side wall samples and the bottom samples will be analyzed first so a deter- <br /> mination can be made regarding the need to analyze the shallow side wall samples <br /> We will test the soil as shown on the enclosed copy of Minimum Verification Lab <br /> Analyses (highlighted areas) . <br /> Disposition of the excavated soil will be addressed upon soil analysis result return <br /> If the leve; of contaminates show too high for treatment on site, the soil will be <br /> transported to a proper hazardous waste facility for disposal , namely Kettleman City, <br /> or possibly a Class 2 site, such as forward , Inc. If the soil 1s removed from the <br /> site, it shall be transported under proper licensure Any manifests produced during <br /> transfer shall have a copy provided to SJLHD within 30 days. <br /> 6 Timing- Sampling could be scheduled within one week following your review of this <br /> work plan. Advance inspection notice of at least 48 hours will be given to SJLHD <br /> for resampling inspection. The sample analysis should be ready for review within <br /> three weeks after they have been taken. <br />
