•
FLAt3 CITY WWTP START-UP PLATT
I. OVERVIEW
The intent of this plan is to describe the sequencing involved with starting and testing
the various plant systems and equipment. These systems are the submersible pumps,
the Aero-Mod unit and associated equipment, the Parkson filter and air compressor, the
chemical system, the diesel generator and the electrical and instrumentation system. It
should be noted that some of the instrumentation falls under the equipment suppliers
area of responsibility and not Franke Electric. In these instances the equipment
representatives will be tasked with performing any required testing.
Factory representatives will test the submersible pumps, the Aero-Mod equipment, the
Parkson Filter and air compressor, the diesel generator, the chemical system and the
electrical and instrumentation system. A factory representative will not inspect the
sampler. Training will not be conducted on the filter air compressor, the sampler or
the laboratory equipment.
The plant systems as described above will be tested individually prior to testing the
plant as a whole. All of the testing described herein will be done with clean water and
will be discharged to the outfall line as necessary. We will commence filling the
aeration basin, clarifier and digester with clean water on Monday, February 27.
ti. SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS
Raw Sewage Pump Station Pumps:
We will fill the pump station with water from the on-site hydrants and pump the water
to the aeration basin alternately using each of the three pumps. Any excess water
placed in the aeration basin will be pumped with the filter feed pumps during the
testing of these pumps.
Filter Feed Pumps:
The filter feed pumps will be tested by pumping water from the effluent tank to the
contact basin via the filter bypass line.
We anticipate testing to take two hours. Operator training will be conducted following
pump testing.
