Cummings and Associates (JPCA) is pleased to send you
this File Closure Report for the Underground Storage Tank removed
at the real property located at 18775 Tom Paine Road, Tracy, San
Joaquin County, CA. The Assessors Parcel No. is 213-020-30 . The
Site Code for this UST file is PR#004367. The "File Closure
Checklist" is contained in Appendix A.
2 . BACKGROUND
The site is a rectangular shaped parcel of approximately 53 acres
in Section 2, T. 2S . , R. 5E. , M.D.B. & M. , located at 18775 Tom
Paine Road, Tracy CA. Historically and presently the use of the
parcel is for farming. The parcel is basically flat, with
elevations running from 5 to 10 feet above sea level, with a
concrete irrigation ditch running along the Tom Paine Road
frontage of the lot. There is one residence, garage, a barn and
outbuildings on the parcel . Figure 1 is a location map which
shows elevation contours, streets and surface waters an proximity
to the parcel .
It is reported that a farm-use 350 gallon gasoline Underground
Storage Tank (UST) , in very poor condition, was removed from the
parcel on August 7 , 1991 by JIM THORPE OIL INC. , at the request
of the then owner, SIERRA BAY FEDERAL LAND BANK ASSOCIATION. It
is reported that no records concerning when the UST was
installed, or years it was in service, but it is known that the
UST was not used since November 1988 when the SIERRA BAY FEDERAL
LAND BANK ASSOCIATION repossessed the property. It is most
unlikely that Oxygenated Gasoline was stored in this UST. This
farm tank was exempted by rule from the permitting and reporting
1
