S 26 September 2000
AGE-NC Project No 96-0263
Page 5of10
Laboratory reports for soil analysis, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control
(QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report with
findings and recommendations
3 3 MONITORING WELL PILOT BORING DRILLING AND SOIL SAMPLING
AGE proposes to install three ground water monitoring wells at the site as part of additional site
assessment activities Proposed well locations are illustrated in Figure 2
Based on soil and ground water contamination encountered at the site, AGE proposes ground water
monitoring well installations in the following locations
• Between 40 and 50 feet southeast of ground water monitoring well MW-6 to assess the
lateral extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-impact upgradient of the former UST and
dispenser area,
. • Between 115 and 125 feet northwest of ground water monitoring well MW-6 to assess the
lateral extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-impact downgradient of the former UST
and dispenser area, and
• Between 100 and 110 feet north of ground water monitoring well MW-6 to assess the lateral
extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-impact downgradient of the former UST and
dispenser area
The proposed ground water monitoring well locations will be advanced to approximately 20 feet bsg
utilizing a truck-mounted, hollow stem drill ng equipped with 8-mch diameter hollow-stem augers
Total depths of bonngs may vary according to hydrogeologic/geologic conditions encountered during
drilling activities
Selected soil samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of Health Services
(DHS)-certified laboratory for the following constituents
• TPH-g in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified/5030,
• BTEX compounds and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) in accordance with EPA Method
8020, and
• Fuel oxygenated compounds including MTBE, TBA, DIPE, ETBE, TAME, EDB and
1,2-DCA by EPA Method 8260B
Laboratory reports for the soil analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control
Advanced GeoEnviranmental,Inc
