A1 i
31 July 2000
AGE-NC Project No 97-0249
depicted in Figure 3
Ground water flow direction for the area bound by Three B's Truck Plaza wells MW-1, MW-2 and
MW-3 was generally toward the southwest while wells MW-4 and MW-5 toward the west at a
general gradient of 0 003 ft/ft, or approximately 16 feet per mile (Figure 3) The ground water
elevation data collected on 26 May 2000 suggested that ground water elevation at the site were
influenced by the pumping operation of the Three B's Truck Plaza domestic drinking water well
3 2 LABORATORY RESULTS OF MONITORING WELL GROUND WATER SAMPLES
A total of seven ground water samples were submitted to a DHS-certified laboratory in May 2000
TPH-g was detected in water samples collected from wells MW-1,MW-2,MW-3,MW-5 and MW-6
at concentrations as high as 26,000 micrograms per liter(ug/l), the laboratory reported each TPH-g
chromatogram as having unmodified or weakly modified gasoline patterns TPH-d was detected in
water samples collected from wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-5 and MW-6 at concentrations as
high as 2,300µg/l,however,the laboratory reported that the diesel chromatograms from each sample
chromatogram contained significant lighter range gasoline compounds
BTEX compounds were detected in ground water samples collected from wells MW-1, MW-2,
MW-3, MW-5 and MW-6 at concentrations as high as 4,700 gg/1 (benzene, MW-3)
MTBE was detected in a ground water sample collected from well MW-4 at a concentration of 36
,ugll TBA was detected in a ground water samples collected from MW-1, MW-5 and MW-6 at
concentrations as high as 130 ,ug/l No other fuel oxygenates were detected in any other analyzed
Three B's Truck Plaza ground water samples above the respective laboratory reporting limits
Analytical results of the ground water samples are summarized in Table 2 The laboratory reports
(McCampbell Analytical Inc I D No 39050 through 39055) and chain-of-custody forms are
presented in Appendix B
3 3 LABORATORY RESULTS OF DOMESTIC WATER WELL SAMPLES
Grab water samples were collected from the Three B's domestic water well on 28 April 2000, 25
May 2000 and on 28 June 2000 Ethanol was detected at a concentration of 1,600,ug/l in the 25 May
2000 "grab" ground water sample No other constituents of concern were detected above their
respective laboratory reporting limits Analytical results of the ground water samples are summarized
in Table 2 The laboratory reports (McCampbell Analytical Inc I D No 38878) and chain-of-
custody forms are presented in Appendix C
Advanced Geo Environmental,Inc
