A Tosco approved contractor will be responsible <br /> for all construction activities associated dispenser upgrade activities. Construction <br /> activities are tentatively scheduled to begin on April 6, 1998 . The purpose of this Work <br /> Plan is to notify the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) <br /> of the upcoming dispenser upgrade activities and briefly discuss the sampling <br /> procedures to be followed. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at 8606 Thornton Road in Stockton, California. The site is an <br /> operating Circle K service station and mini-mart that retails gasoline fuel . The site <br /> currently contains three gasoline USTs and associated product lines and dispensers. <br /> PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Dispensers at the site are scheduled to be upgraded by a Tosco approved contractor <br /> during April 1998 . Soil compliance samples will be collected from below each <br /> dispenser per the Tri Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary <br /> Evaluation and Investigation of Underground Tank Sites. Field and laboratory <br /> procedures are included as Attachment A. <br /> Our objectives in performing the scope of work are: <br /> it <br /> 1 .
