0 0
• Revise the existing site-specific health and safety plan;
• Re-notify Underground Service Alert (USA) a minimum of 48 hours prior to drilling
activities to clear public utilities;
• Secure the necessary Boring Permit from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (SJCEHD). Permit acquisition will involve submitting a completed application
and site plan to SJCEHD for review and approval. The turnaround time for SJCE14D to issue
the permit is expected to be no more than 15 days;
• Schedule an inspection by SJCEHD a minimum of 5 days prior to drilling activities;
• Advance two interior borings within the dry cleaning suite and two exterior boring to the rear
exterior of the dry cleaning suite to a terminal depth of 25 feet bgs, groundwater, or drilling
refusal, whichever is shallower, collecting soil continuously to the terminal depth and a grab
groundwater sample at the terminal depth;
• Field-screen each soil sample using a photoionization detector(PID);
• Prepare up to 5 soil and 3 groundwater sample per boring(20 soil and 3 groundwater samples
total) for laboratory analysis. One groundwater sample will be collected from an interior
location and two groundwater samples will be collected from the exterior locations;
• Analyze one soil sample per boring (four samples total) and three groundwater samples per
boring for PCE and daughter compounds TCE, cis-1,2- DCE, trans-1,2-DCE, and vinyl
chloride in accordance with EPA Method 8260B;
• Retain investigation-derived wastes (IDW) (e.g. soil cuttings and/or purge/decontamination
water) in a properly labeled container;
• Collect a soil cuttings sample from the IDW and analyze the soil sample for volatile organic
compounds (VOCs) for waste profiling purposes;
• Profile, arrange for transport, and disposal of the generated IDW; and,
• Prepare a report detailing field activities, methods, and findings.
Assumptions
Partner has prepared this quotation under the following assumptions:
• The surface cover will be no thicker than 6 inches;
• Fieldwork will be conducted within the subject property lines on private property. No
drilling activities will be performed in the public right-of-way;
• Interior and exterior boring locations will be accessible with a limited-access and truck-
mounted direct-push drill rig, respectively;
• 9- and 11-foot minimum overhead clearances will be available at interior and exterior boring
locations, respectively;
• Groundwater will be encountered at 25 feet or shallower;
• The underlying water-bearing unit will have sufficient recharge to collect viable groundwater
samples within the timeframe of on-site fieldwork;
• Concrete or asphalt patch will be sufficient to refinish the ground surface at each boring
location. Partner will not be responsible for replacing ground cover at boring locations (e.g.,
tiles, carpet, epoxy seal, etc.)beyond concrete or asphalt patch;
• No more than one drum of IDW will be generated or require disposal;
