F G. Water Disposal: The Contractor shall dispose of all testing and development water without damage to any property, and in accordance with applicable regulations. The Contractor must provide sand traps for sand control. The development water could be accepted into the existing West Side Irrigation f District (WSID) drainage canal via the existing waste pipe, upon approval of WSID. The Contractor shall make all of the necessary arrangements with WSID Development water shall be clear of sand, silt and sediment prior to entering the waste pipe. It will be the Contractor's responsibility to provide whatever means necessary for the creation of a settling basin. i2 . H. MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT: Full compensation for conforming to �. these requirements, including all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, incidentals, and for doing all the work involved in development of the wells, as specified in the Standard Specifications, these special provisions, and as directed by the Engineer, shall be considered as included in the prices paid k 'n for the various contract items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed. 3.12 TEST PUMPING FOR YIELD AND DRAWDOWN (FOR PRODUCTION WELL ONLY) A. General: After the well has been developed and cleaned out and the depth of the well accurately measured, the contractor shall notify the Engineer to that effect and shall make the necessary arrangements for conducting a pumping test. The pumping test for the Production Well shall be conducted . as specified herein and in the presence of the Engineer. c B. Equipment: 1. The test pump, discharge column, and pump head shall be washed with chlorine solution as it is being lowered into the well or installed on top of the well. After it has been placed into position, the pump shall be . I operated so as to thoroughly mix the disinfectant with the water in the �' well. A The Contractor shall furnish, install and remove at completion of the test all necessary pumping equipment, driver, piping and measuring devices for the test. The pump shall have a capacity of not less than 4,000 gallons per minute at the head required for maximum drawdown. The pump setting shall be at such depth that the bottom bowl is submerged I: at all times. 3. The pumping unit shall be complete with a prime motor of ample power, controls, and appurtenances and shall be capable of being operated without interruption for a period of 24 hours. t 4. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary discharge piping and appurtenances for the pumping unit, which shall be of sufficient size and length to conduct the water being pumped to an approved point of iN= disposal.
