12. Cleaning: After full completion of the testing, the Contractor shall <br /> remove, by bailing, sand-pumping or other acceptable methods, any <br /> sand, gravel or other foreign material that may have become deposited <br /> in the well. The well must be completely bailed and cleaned prior to <br /> capping the.well at the completion of the project. <br /> r <br /> 13. MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT: Full compensation for conforming to <br /> these requirements, including all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, <br /> incidentals, and for doing all the work involved in the minimum required <br /> testing for yield and drawdown, as specified in the Standard <br /> Specifications, these special provisions, and as directed by the <br /> Engineer, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the <br /> various contract items of work involved and no additional compensation <br /> will be allowed. <br /> 3.13 VIDEO INSPECTION OF PRODUCTION WELL <br /> A. Perform a video inspection of the Production Well after development and <br /> testing, and prior to disinfection. The video camera shall have side scan <br /> capability. The video inspection shall include a scan of all interior surfaces of <br /> f the well casing and screen. Deliver one copy of the inspection video in VHS <br /> format to the City. <br /> 3.14 DISINFECTION AND WATER QUALITY TESTING <br /> A. After the wells have been completely constructed, developed and tested, <br /> they shall be cleaned and disinfected in accordance with AWWA Standard <br /> A100, Sections 4 and 5. The chlorine solution volume shall not be less than <br /> twice the calculated volume of the well. All water pumped to waste shall be <br /> dechlorinated to a chlorine residual of 1 mg/L prior to being discharged. <br /> B. After the wells are pumped to waste to remove all of the disinfectant solution, <br /> three 1-gallon water quality samples from the Production Well, and one <br /> sample from each distinct aquifer of the Nested Monitoring Well shall be <br /> taken and submitted to the Engineer for analysis. The disinfection procedure <br /> ,Ashall be repeated as necessary Until tests for coliform bacteria are negative. ' <br /> C.
