Pilot Hole: Casing, screen, and gravel pack used in the water quality sampling of the pilot holes shall be of materials, sizes, and gradation to assure adequate sampling quantities and aquifer segregation. Such materials shall be approved by the Engineer. B_ Conductor Casing: Conductor casing shall be a new steel pipe, 30-inch outside diameter, at least 114-inch wall thickness, ASTM designation A-139 Grade B. Conductor casing shall be at least 50 feet in length. C. Production Casing: Production casing shall be new Type 304L. stainless steel pipe conforming to ASTM Designation A778, except that requirements for hydrostatic testing will be waived. Well casing shall have an inside diameter of 16 inches with not less than 318-inch wall thickness. D. Production Well Screen: Production Well screen shall be wire wrap well screen, Type 304 stainless steel screen and shall be factory fabricated by all- weld construction. Weld rings to accommodate the specified casing shall be approved by the Engineer and shall be provided on the screens. The screen shall be of the wire-wound type with continuous slots as manufactured by Houston, UOP-Johnson, Roscoe Moss Company, or equivalent double extra strong screen design. L. 1. Screen aperture size and screen location shall be determined based on results of the pilot hole testing, and confirmed by the Contractor and ;. Engineer. 2. Welding rod used for joining the screen ends to the casing ends shall be furnished by the Contractor and shall be specifically suitable for joining w the materials and creating a watertight weld. E. Nested Monitoring Well Casing: Nested Monitoring Well casing shall be new +r Schedule 80 PVC pipe, Type 1, grade 1 material described in ASTM F480 and ASTM D1784, Class 12454B. Casing pipe shall have threaded ends with integral 0-ring seals. Casing pipe shall be by Roscoe Moss Company; �.. UPO-Johnson; or equal. F. Nested Monitoring Well Screen: Nested Monitoring Well screen shall be new �.. Schedule 80 PVC screen. Type 1, grade 1 material described in ASTM F480 and ASTM D1784, Class 12454B.
