La The sites of the demolition work shall be restored to match the surrounding conditions. Destruction of the Lewis Manor Well: (Bid Item No. 3) The top of the well casing on the well shall be demolished so that it terminates a minimum of 3 feet below the finished grade. Destruction of the Ball Park Well: (Bid Item No. 4) All of the piping, valves, electric facilities and ancillary equipment shall remain in place. The motor and pump have been removed. A section of the pump discharge piping may be removed to facilitate access to the well providing that the exposed end of the water distribution system piping is sealed with a blind flange. If a section of the existing pump discharge piping is removed (for the Contractor's convenience) it shall be stored within the-well housing building as directed by the Engineer. The building roof and side access wall panels may be removed to permit access to the well. After the Well has been destroyed the building shall be restored to its original condition. Temporary fencing shall be erected around the well site, to protect the equipment and to prevent entry to the well site by unauthorized persons. High voltage (4801) electric service exists at the motor control center, Contractor shall take suitable precautions in working around the equipment. The temporary well casing cover on the wells to be destroyed shall be salvaged and returned to the City of Tracy's Corporation Yard, located at the Boyd Service Center, 520 Tracy Boulevard. Destruction of the Corporation Yard Well: (Bid Item No. 5) The existing pump, which is stuck in the casing, shall be removed in a manner approved the Department of Water Resources and in conformance with the requirements of +►w Bulletin 74.
