ASE
Eastside Winery,Lodi,San h0quin Co.
Monitoring Well Installation Report
adjacent seepage pond. At each well, the pumping started at the water table and
continued until the water was visibly clear, then the pump was lowered in one
foot intervals, pumping each interval until the water cleared. Next, the pump was
rapidly raised and lowered in one-foot intervals to surge the screen. Each interval
was pumped until clear and then the next higher interval was treated similarly.
Finally, the well was pumped from near the water surface for 30 minutes after it
was apparently clear. The total volume of water pumped from each well
exceeded 1500 gallons. This corresponds to about 200 well volumes from wells 1
and 2 and about 100 well volumes from well 3.
There was no change in water level associated with developing well 1. The level
in well 2 rose about 10 inches after developing. At well 3,the level declined
about 2 inches.
C. Well Surveying
Reference point elevations and coordinates were determined by Delta Surveys,
1115 Black Diamond Way,Lodi,CA 95240,a licensed civil engineer. The
reference point elevations refer to the tops of the PVC casings;the bench mark
elevation used was USGS San Joaquin County No. U1106. The horizontal
coordinates follow the convention that positive X is to the east and positive Y is
to the north. The data are:
Well Reference Point Y Coordinate X Coordinate
Elevation
1 52.19 -590.70 -1269.07
2 59.99 -803.35 -574.60
3 151.07 0 0
D. Water Sampling
The wells were sampled for analysis on 18 August 2000. The details of this
exercise and the laboratory findings are presented in a separate report.
Please call me at(530)756-228 uestions you may have concerning the
installation of these monito &S 810*

p ® ARINP
Q
Sincerely yours, ca p
co rn
V r Z
`D o.
