Quarterly Monitoring Report- Third Quarter 2015 Page 6
' OAK RIDGE WINERY
WKA No. 6364.08
August 25, 2015
' 7.0 EVALUATION OF CONSTITUENTS OF CONCERN
The following presents a discussion of water quality trends at the site including a statistical data
analysis per Title 27 Section 20415(e) (8) (A)-(E).
' 7.1 Water Quality Trends
' Water quality data from historical and current monitoring of TDS and TKN were plotted with
respect to time for each of the monitoring wells in the monitoring network at the Winery. The
evaluation of the trends observed in the plots is presented in this section. In addition, other
' notable changes or fluctuations are presented herein. Appendix D contains the plots of TDS
and TKN for each of the monitoring wells.
' Based on review of current and historical analytical data, presented in Table B-1 Appendix B
and the charts presented in Appendix D, the following observations are presented:
' • MW1 —The thirduarter TKN concentration at this well is reported a .7
q p t 6 mg/L
from the historic high of 11 mg/L last seen during second quarter 2013.
Additionally, third quarter potassium concentration at this well is reported at 18.0
mg/L, lower than the first and second quarters of 2015, and lower than the
' historic high of 38 mg/L seen during first quarter 2003.
• MW2 — Concentrations of potassium and TKN remain more than one standard
' deviation below their respective arithmetic means. The remaining parameters
exhibit stable trends.
' • MW3— Laboratory results revealed ammonia-as-nitrogen in the MW3
groundwater sample to be 0.32 mg/L, an increase from the second quarter 2015
concentration of 0.27 mg/L. The third quarter results also saw a decrease in total
' dissolved solids from the first (440 mg/L) and second (130 mg/L) quarters of
2015 to 73 mg/L. Laboratory results revealed pH at 6.56 ph units, a value close
to the arithmetic mean of 6.40. Concentrations of all other quarterly analytes in
' MW3 fall below their respective arithmetic means.
• MW4— Laboratory results revealed pH less than one standard deviation above
' the arithmetic mean of 6.35. Concentrations of all other quarterly analytes in
MW4 remain below their respective arithmetic means.
' 7.2 Analysis of Variation Evaluations of Water Quality Parameters
' Per MRP 05-01-172, the winery is required to conduct a statistical analysis of data obtained in
their monitoring program, specified in California Code of Regulations (CCRs) Title 27 Section
