Designated Responsible Persons (40 CFR 112.7(f)(2)) <br /> The Branch Manager and/or Safety Manager are responsible for providing the necessary <br /> resources for implementation of this plan. The Shop Superintendent has been designated responsibility <br /> for day-to-day maintenance and implementation of the SPCC Plan. <br /> 3. Spill Prevention Briefings (40 CFR 112.7(f)(3)) <br /> The Shop Superintendent conducts annual spill prevention briefings of oil-handling employees to <br /> ensure adequate understanding of this SPCC Plan. The briefings highlight and describe known spill <br /> events or failures, malfunctioning components, and recently developed precautionary measures. These <br /> briefings may be included as part of the personnel training. The training is conducted at least annually. <br /> Records of the briefings, including a list of attendees, are maintained by the Shop Superintendent and/or <br /> the Safety Manager. <br /> F. Security (40 CFR 112.7(g)) <br /> 1. Barriers to Entry (40 CFR 112.7(g)(1)) <br /> Entry onto the Maxim Crane Works facility is controlled by a fence that prohibits access to the <br /> manufacturing and tank storage areas. The gate is closed manually at 5 p.m. and remains closed until 7 <br /> a.m. <br /> 2. Locks on Valves and Pumps (40 CFR 112.7(8)(2)) <br /> The flow valves on the fuel pumps for the diesel tanks area on a card lock system, and can only <br /> be operated by drivers that have been provided with fueling cards. The fueling cards automatically <br /> records data pertaining to driver and fuel transfers. <br /> The flow valves on the oil tanks for the repair shop (engine oil, hydraulic oil, transmission oil, <br /> and gear oil) are actuated by air pumps, and the air supply is turned off during non-business hours. - <br /> *TANK WAS TEMPORARILY REMOVED FROM SITE 2-12-20 PENDING ACQUISITION <br /> OF A NEW TANK REPLACEMENT* <br /> -15- <br />
