Phase II Site Assessment Work Plan <br /> FORMER LAIDLAW FACILITY <br /> 1444 Tillie Lewis Drive, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Van De Pol Enterprises,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared <br /> the this Phase II Site Assessment Work Plan for the property at 1444 Tillie Lewis Drive, Stockton, <br /> California(the site). The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated <br /> on Figure 2. <br /> This work plan is prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)PHS-EHD) for the procurement of a soil boring permit. <br /> The work is being performed as part of a due diligence for a property transfer. The work plan is <br /> prepared in accordance with Appendix A to Tri-Regional Recommendations -Reporting, dated 30 <br /> August 1991, prepared by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(Appendix A- <br /> Reports) for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in an industrial area of West Stockton (Figure 1) at an estimated elevation of 5 <br /> feet above sea level. The local topography slopes southwest. <br /> 2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located at 1444 Tillie Lewis Road, at the southeast corner of Tillie Lewis Drive and Navy <br /> Drive in the city of Stockton, San Joaquin County, California. The property comprises of a single <br /> parcel, and is currently occupied by Evergreen Glass, Inc. (Figure 2). <br /> 2.2. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> On 29 June 1990 one 4,000-gallon xylene UST was removed from the site under permit and <br /> inspection of San Joaquin County PHS-EHD.The 4,000-gallon steel UST was observed to be in poor <br /> condition with corrosion and pitting at the bottom.Two soil samples were collected beneath the tank <br /> at approximately 12 feet below surface grade (bsg). The soil was discolored and had strong <br /> petroleum odors. <br /> Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g) was present in the soil samples analyzed from <br /> beneath the north and south ends of the UST at concentrations of 8,000 milligrams per kilogram <br /> (mg/kg) and 47,000 mg/kg, respectively. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
