3.0 Environmental Receptors <br /> • The site is predominantly surrounded by residential and commercial properties The nearest <br /> water well is reportedly located approximately 600 feet to the southwest of the site, in the <br /> anticipated upgradient direction This well was listed in the EDR report, however, no indication <br /> of the well was noted during the door-to-door survey and the owners could not be located Shaw <br /> contacted the property manager of the Tracy Inn, who appears to be the current owner of the <br /> property that the well is located on The property manager was not aware of any well <br /> The City of Tracy does use groundwater as a drinking water source, with the nearest active <br /> municipal supply well located 650 feet to the north This well is located in the anticipated <br /> downgradient direction Because of the overall distance, low concentrations of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons found on the site, and the off-site city supply well's 250-foot deep sanitary seal, <br /> the potential for impact to that well are minimal <br /> The nearest surface body of water to the site is the Upper Main Canal, located approximately <br /> 3,600 feet to the south of the site There are no pathways to exposure for human receptors within <br /> the vicinity of the site The majority of the entire site has been developed, with no animals noted <br /> on the property There are no signs of stress to vegetation at the site The source, release <br /> methods, potential pathways, and receptors are depicted in Figure 9 <br /> 4.0 Summary <br /> Based on the findings in this report, Shaw concludes the following <br /> • No petroleum analytes were detected in soil samples from the 500-gallon heating oil UST <br /> removed in February 2002 <br /> • A groundwater sample collected from the excavation following removal of a 2,000-gallon <br /> diesel UST in March 2002 contained 130 ppb of TPH-D Soil samples collected from the <br /> excavation and pipeline trench contained TPH-D up to 5 0 ppm <br /> • A soil and groundwater investigation conducted in September 2002 detected TPH-D in <br /> the groundwater at concentrations up to 390 ppb, and in a soil sample at 2 7 ppm <br /> • No BTEX constituents or MTBE has been detected in any soil or groundwater samples <br /> collected from the site <br /> CNCD104-28-031SHARE11JM03-0027 doc 14 <br />
