' •
Soil Boring Installation Page 2
8700 Thornton Road.,Stockton
GPE Project 639.2
June 13,2011
t1.2 Scope of Work
The purpose of the work herein documented was to accomplish the following
goals:
' A original tank pit was estimated to have been about 10 to 12 feet
deep. Three soil borings were advanced to a depth adequate to retrieve
soil samples from points well beneath the position of the former tank
bottoms. The total depth of the borings was between 20 and 24 feet.
The boring locations are shown on the attached Figure 2.
' The borings were continuously cored and a professional geologist
logged the cores. Samples from the bottom of each boring were
submitted to a State certified analytical laboratory and tested for
' gasoline and diesel hydrocarbons, and for several common volatile
organic compounds which are found in gasoline.
' • Upon completion of the borings, the boreholes were backfilled with a
cement grout and the holes in the pavement were patched.
1
2937 Veneman Avenue, Suite B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
