' � • <br /> Soil Boring Installation Page 2 <br /> 8700 Thornton Road.,Stockton <br /> GPE Project 639.2 <br /> June 13,2011 <br /> t1.2 Scope of Work <br /> The purpose of the work herein documented was to accomplish the following <br /> goals: <br /> ' A original tank pit was estimated to have been about 10 to 12 feet <br /> deep. Three soil borings were advanced to a depth adequate to retrieve <br /> soil samples from points well beneath the position of the former tank <br /> bottoms. The total depth of the borings was between 20 and 24 feet. <br /> The boring locations are shown on the attached Figure 2. <br /> ' The borings were continuously cored and a professional geologist <br /> logged the cores. Samples from the bottom of each boring were <br /> submitted to a State certified analytical laboratory and tested for <br /> ' gasoline and diesel hydrocarbons, and for several common volatile <br /> organic compounds which are found in gasoline. <br /> ' • Upon completion of the borings, the boreholes were backfilled with a <br /> cement grout and the holes in the pavement were patched. <br /> 1 <br /> 2937 Veneman Avenue, Suite B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
