03/10/2001 01:42 FAX Z03
specific action regarding the concrete UST has occurred because of the TCE aspects of the site.
In October 2001, LNC contacted me and requested that I assist in attempting to close the
petroleum hydrocarbon aspects of the site at 110 East Turner Road. In discussions with you
regarding the site it has become apparent that the PHSEHD file on the site is incomplete
regarding the petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated soil on the remediation stockpile and closure
of the former UST site. It is LNC's wish that the UST portion of the site be closed with regard to
PHSEHD. Prior to submission of a request for closure to PHSEHD a sampling of the stockpiled
soil should be made to determine if the soil is below hazardous levels and determine disposal
options and a final site closure report that will outline closure rationale and all supporting basic
data should be submitted to PHSEHD. A simple proposed workplan to sample the stockpiled
soil is presented below. Depending on the analytical results of the soil sampling a closure report
will be submitted to PHSEHD for the site.
LNC would like to have me do this work as soon as practical. Please contact me at(209) 369-
9421 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Steph n G.
