4) Define the Study Boundaries: The boundaries of the LNC investigation area are north to
Turner Road, east to Stockton Street, west to the Ackel property boundary and south to the
Ackel property building identified as the Hy-Grade Glass Building.
5) Develop a Decision Rule:Decisions will be based on laboratory results for the VOCs listed
as target analytes for the USEPA Test Method 8260B and USEPA Test Method TO-15.
Physical parameter data will be evaluated to assess the effectiveness of proposed SVE.
6) Specify Limits on Decision Error:Validation of all analytical test data in terms of precision,
accuracy, representativeness, comparability, and completeness will be used to determine
if data are valid.
7) Optimize the Design: The overall field sampling program has been designed to provide the
type and quantity of data necessary to satisfy the objectives of the project specified in Step
1. The data collection procedures, including the number of samples, respective
locations, and sampling techniques is provided in the FSP. Previous analytical data will
be evaluated to determine additional data needs to fulfill this objective. Additional data
collection activities will be proposed, as necessary, in order to make decisions regarding
final soil remediation system design.
Environmental/LNC/Workplan/Appendix3.wpd 6
