1 <br /> VZ1 MC <br /> C <br /> ' The WZI Manager shall be responsible for informing the drilling and laboratory <br /> contractors of the need to upgrade to Level C The equipment to be either worn, <br /> ' carried or otherwise required under Level C protection will be listed in the site safety <br /> q p Y <br /> ' plan and further described in Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for <br /> Hazardous Waste Site Activities NIOSH, OSHA, USOG, and EPA, 1985, DHHS <br /> ' (NIOSH) publication No 85-115 Noncompliance by drilling or laboratory contractor <br /> or site personnel with the site safety plan is grounds for a stop work order or dismissal <br /> of contractor with payment only for the work completed <br /> ' Any site conditions recognized as hazardous shall be dealt with in accordance with <br /> safe operating practices as specified by OSHA and the site safety plan Safety <br /> ' provisions shall conform to the Federal and State Departments of Labor Occupational <br /> Safety and Health Act (OSHA), all other applicable federal, state, county, and local <br /> ' laws, ordinances, codes, and the requirements set forth herein Where any of these <br /> are in conflict, the more stringent requirement shall be followed Contractor's failure <br /> to be thoroughly familiar with the aforementioned safety provisions shall not relieve <br /> ' contractor from compliance with the obligations and penalties set forth therein <br /> ' Contractor will at all times provide for safe access to the work area for inspection by <br /> government officials and WZI personnel <br /> 1 <br /> APPENDIX III <br /> 12270020 021 20 <br />
