1 <br /> fSecuon 2 <br /> ONSITE Environmental Laboratories, Inc Revision 0 <br /> ' Quality Assurance Plan February 15, 1996 <br /> Page 2 of I <br /> 22 Training for Technical Procedures and Job Qualifications <br /> 22 1 Job Qualifications <br /> ' The laboratory has job descriptions for all positions, with which the <br /> Laboratory Director compares each chermst's performance at least annually <br /> ONSITE expects working knowledge and fundamental laboratory skills to be <br /> commensurate with the job at the date of hiring However, Laboratory <br /> Directors and Mobile Laboratory Managers are also expected to identify both <br /> gaps in each person's previous training and to identify opportunities to <br /> encourage each person to obtain continuing education appropriate to the <br /> position and/or promotion Internal and external training courses, seminars <br /> and other training are provided throughout the employment of each staff <br /> ' member <br /> 2 2 2 Training on Specific Procedures <br /> ' An analyst hired to perform sample preparation and/or analytical procedures <br /> receives direct instruction from a professional staff member To become <br /> qualified on a procedure and able to perform the procedure without assistance <br /> or immediate supervision, the analyst must pass the qualification process <br /> described in rhe training SOP The qualification process typically consists of <br /> > On-the-fob training, with supporting documentation <br /> Conversations regarding background/theory and demonstration that the <br /> SOP and method have been reviewed and in use <br /> > A demonstration of proficiency by the analysis of a proficiency <br /> evaluation sample <br /> > A demonstration of proficiency through a precision and accuracy study <br /> or an MDL study <br /> 2 2 3 Requirements for Supervision and Management <br /> Training for management associates includes professional, managerial, <br /> communication and interpersonal skills Ongoing or periodic assessments are <br /> performed to determine training needs and the effectiveness of instruction <br /> Word b 0 loe1sec2 doc <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br />
