geologist gist or engineer. Soil samples will be obtained from depths of 2 feet, 4
feet and 8 feet, and extruded in the field to containers for shipment to the
R
? testing laboratory. Upon collection, each sample would be monitored by an
Organic Vapor Analyzer (OVA) to provide additional data concerning the vertical
distribution of organic species.
' All one inch diameter holes created during the day will be backfilled to the
q
ground surface using a cement/bentonite mixture. Although this will require
entering each property twice during the day, it is the most effective way to
assure that all test holes are properly sealed.
Chemical Analysis
5
All soil samples will be properly labeled, stored in appropriate containers
9
E and transported to our laboratory subcontractor, ANATEC Laboratories, Inc. of
Santa Rosa for testing. Oil and grease content will be obtained for each
individual sample and presented in our summary report. Chain-of-custody proce-
dure will be followed.
Demobilization
At the completion of the work, the site will be cleared of all. equipment ,
j tools , disposable supplies and material which may have accumulated during per-
formance of the work.
Because of the sensitive nature of the project, we will endeavor to perform
r all work in a manner which minimizes disruption of local activities and will
consistently be sensitive to maintaining the goodwill of the local residents.
'r SCHEDULE
We will begin work immediately upon approval of this work plan by Chevron
Pipe Line Company and the RWQCB. The residential oil and grease sampling will
begin upon receipt of permission from each affected homeowner. We expect the
scope of work as described in this Work plan to be completed within 4-6 weeks of
z, start-up. If additional field work is required, this schedule will be extended.
Chemical analysis results will be available within a month of sample submittal.
3ED2/H -14-
s,
