Mr. Dennis Abrahfikon • Attachment A
Simpson Paper Company January 17 , 1992
required) , well-head plumbing, and meter (to be installed in-line
by Simpson) to be furnished and installed.
Cost estimate of this work item is based on furnishing two 25-HP
pumps similar to the pumps installed in Wells 4 and 5 . Depending
on size of pump/motor actually required following testing and
analysis, this cost item would vary.
(5) Provide computer-simulation model of semi-perched zone
on adiacent and underlyinQ aquifers.
A 3-dimensional computer-simulation model capable of defining
flow and TDS transport would be developed to show ground-water
movement and TDS transfer between the semi-perched zone and the
adjacent and underlying aquifers. The model would be constructed
to define impacts on adjacent and underlying aquifers both under
existing conditions and as a result of TDS reduction in the
effluent disposal that may occur through changes in mill
processes.
Work items required in developing and calibrating the model, and
in providing simulation runs for alternative effluent loading,
consist of the following:
(a) Prepare ground-water level maps for semi-perched,
upper, intermediate and lower zones
(b) Prepare maps showing lines of equal conductivity
for semi-perched, upper, intermediate and lower aquifer
zones
(c) Using electric-log data, prepare maps showing
lines of equal thickness of aquifer units of semi-
perched, upper, intermediate and lower zones
(d) Using electric-log data, prepare maps showing
4
