The MRP sets forth a specific scope of work and enforceable time
schedule for compliance. The MRP is being revised to include the approved Water Quality
Protection Standards for the Semi-perched, Upper, and Intermediate aquifers beneath the
site. Current groundwater data indicates that past discharges from the Ripon Mill has
degraded groundwater quality. The revised MRP is a Corrective Action Monitoring Program
and is designed to evaluate whether future changes taken by the Discharger are sufficient to
clean up the effects of past discharges.
Please review the Draft Revised MRP and submit any written comments by 19 February
2007. Regional Water Quality Control Board staff will review the comments and make any
appropriate changes.
If you have any questions, please contact Todd Del Frate at (916) 464-4737.
VICTOR J.
