The ashtrays are removed from the cab of <br /> the truck and emptied in the trash. The cab is vacuumed using a hose located near <br /> the gas pumps. The worker must bend to reach the floor of the cab while <br /> vacuuming. The back storage area of the truck is then swept. The worker must <br /> open the latch in the back of the truck and lift the sliding door, then climb the steps <br /> to gain access into the back of the truck. The dirt is them swept out the back of the <br /> truck. <br /> A spray can is used to apply cleaning fluid to the windshield. A squeegee is then <br /> used to wipe clean the windshield. A long-handled squeegee is available for <br /> cleaning the larger trucks. A ladder is also available if needed to reach the <br /> windshields of the larger trucks. The ladder is moved by lifting one end and rolling <br /> it to the truck. <br /> Physical Requirements: <br /> Bending- To vacuum cab <br /> Standing;- To clean windshield <br /> Reaching- To vacuum and use squeegee <br /> Walking- Around trucks <br /> Handling- Vacuum hose and squeegee <br /> Pushing- Hose, broom and squeegee <br /> Pulling- Hose and squeegee <br /> Climbing- Into cab and back of truck or onto ladder <br /> Lifting- Broom or back of rolling ladder <br /> Measurements: <br /> Squeegee- 30 inches and 65 inches <br /> Broom - 5-I0 pounds <br /> Steps in .front of trucks - 17-24 inches <br /> Steps in Mack of trucks - 20-28 inches <br /> Lever for back doors - requires as much, as 0-50 pounds of pressure <br /> 4. Washing Trucks <br /> This task tabes approx. 36 minutes to complete, The worker drives the tack into <br /> the wash bay. f�e picks up the pressure gust and presses a Mutton on the wall which <br /> turas on the soap. Using one hared to airn the guru, he sprays the truck doom with <br /> the boot soapy water, using a sweeping, up and down motion, The worker reaches; <br /> overhead with the trigger gun to get to the top of the cab and trailer, and reaches <br /> clown to clean the tires and visible parts underneath the truck, After the soap is <br />
