An isostatic press is <br /> used to form mock explosives, explosives or inert material into solid billets using glycerine <br /> as the pressurizing medium. The glycerine is continually reused for subsequent pressing <br /> operations with exception of glycerin that is drained from the press when maintenance is <br /> required or when glycerine has been contaminated and not fit for reuse. <br /> SOURCE REDUCTION/POLLUTION PREVENTION EVALUATION <br /> Description of Measure: <br /> LLNL plans to continue existing best management practices (such as reuse) to minimize <br /> this waste stream.
