PARALLEL AVE. , RIPON, SAH JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> We have reviewed your report, dated 20 June 1990, prepared for the subject <br /> site. Soil samples were taken from a leachfield that contained 5 parts per <br /> billion (ppb) benzene, 13 ppb toluene, 11.4 ppb xylene, and 70 parts per <br /> million (ppm) oil and grease. A sample from the ground water monitoring well <br /> contained 5 mg/l oil and grease. Other soil samples had levels of "none <br /> detected" except for one sample that contained 90 ppm oil and grease. <br /> We request you excavate the heavily-contaminated surface soil and dispose of <br /> it in accordance with Subchapter 15, Title 23, California Code of Regulations, <br /> and sample the ground water monitoring well quarterly for one year for <br /> benzene, toluene, xylene, and ethylbenzene.
