Parallel Ave. ,
PER M1113/SEViCE;;
Ripon, California
Dear Mr. Peltier:
During an investigation at the above referenced site (conducted
as part of an environmental audit ) a leachfield which had
received steam cleaning waste water, was discovered.
A soil sample taken from under the leachlines at a depth of nine
feet below grade showed low levels of oil and grease
( approximately 90 ppm) and no volatile organic priority
pollutants.
A single monitoring well was installed approximately 25 feet
laterally in the down gradient direction to a depth of 45 feet.
A soil sample collected at 30 feet (just above the water table)
showed low levels of BTX. After the well was properly developed
a water sample was taken for analysis and showed 5.0 mg/liter of
oil and grease, but no purgeable hydrocarbons. These results are
summarized in the attached letter report. Also attached is a
phase one environmental audit which summarizes the initial soil
sampling around the site.
We request guidance from the Board in proceeding with this
matter. The property owner and lender need to understand the
Boards position with respect to any further work which may be
required, or if the work done to date is sufficient to receive a
letter of closure.
Respectfull ,
W rWork
Russell W.
