Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2000 <br /> Former FISCO WAREHOUSE (Howard Lenz Property) <br /> 1648 Shaw Road, Stockton, California <br /> I1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Peter Lenz of Innovative Beverage Brokers,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> I (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 1648 Shaw Road, Stockton, <br /> California The site and the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 Structures, boring and well <br />' locations are illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> The quarterly report is prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br />' Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> Background information is summarized in the Preliminary Site Investigation Report, dated 30 <br />' December 1997 and prepared by AGE <br />' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Three dual-completed ground water monitoring / vapor extraction wells and one exploratory soil <br />' 0 boring were installed in February 2000 Quarterly ground water monitoring was performed on 03 <br /> March 2000 Field work was performed in accordance with PHS-EHD and CVRWQCB guidelines <br /> for the investigation of UST sites <br /> 1 <br />' 21 DRILLING AND SAMPLING <br /> From 22 to 24 February 2000, four soil borings were advanced at the site using a CME-75 drill ng <br />' Barings MW1, MW2 and MW3 were advanced to depths of 55 feet below surface grade (bsg) using <br /> 10-mch diameter hollow-stem augers Boring B6 was advanced to a depth of 65 feet bsg using 8-inch <br /> diameter hollow-stein augers The drill rig and three-man crew were supplied by West Hazmat <br />' Drilling Corp of Rancho Cordova, California Auger returns generated by drilling were placed on <br /> plastic sheeting and stored on site <br />' Soil samples were collected ahead of the drill bit using a California-Modified split-tube sampler <br /> loaded with three pre-cleaned 2-inch by 6-inch brass sleeves The samples were collected at five-foot <br /> intervals,beginning at a depth of 15 feet bsg in each boring, using a 140-pound hammer to advance <br />' the sampler The number of blows required to advance the sampler over each 6-inch increment of <br /> the 18-inch sampling interval was recorded on the boring logs Sampling equipment was washed in <br /> an Alconox solution and rinsed with water prior to each sampling run to avoid cross-contamination <br />' For each sample,both ends of the leading sleeve were covered with Teflon sheets, capped and sealed <br /> • with tape The samples were labeled, stored on ice and transported under chain-of-custody to <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
