14 May 1999 <br /> Is AGE-NC Project No. 97-0343 <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br /> 2 5 LABORATORY ANALYSIS <br /> Selected soil and ground water samples will be transported to a California Department of Health <br /> Services (DHS)-certified laboratory and analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as <br /> gasoline(TPH-g)and diesel(TPH-d),and for volatile aromatics(benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene and <br /> xylenes, BTEX) <br /> 2 6 REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Upon completion of field work and receipt of the final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared <br /> presenting the fmdmgs of the investigation,conclusions and applicable recommendations The report <br /> will include a description of the work performed and the results of the sampling and analysis <br /> Laboratory reports,testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC)reports, <br /> and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in the report The report will be in a <br /> format acceptable to the PHS-EHD and the CVRWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a <br /> California Registered Geologist <br /> • <br /> 3.4. FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Registered Geologist Procedures for the soil sampling,well installation, well development, ground <br /> water sampling, equipment decontamination and sample analyses are outlined below <br /> 3 1 SOIL BORING ADVANCEMENT <br /> Soil bonngs will be advanced using a truck-mounted drill ng equipped with 8-inch and 10-inch <br /> diameter hollow stem augers Borings will be advanced to a vertical depth of approximately 65 feet <br /> bsg Subsequent borings, if required, may be advanced to appropriate depths based upon field <br /> screening and data from previous borings installed at the site <br /> 32 SOIL SAMPLING PROCEDURES <br /> Soil samples will be collected using a California split-spoon sampler loaded with three 2-inch by 6- <br /> inch brass sleeves The sampler will be driven by dropping a 140-pound hammer from a height of <br /> . 30 inches The number of blows required to advance the sampler over 6-inch increments will be <br /> recorded on the boring log Upon removal from the sampler, the ends of the lead sample sleeve will <br /> Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc <br />
