I12 November 2002
. AGE-NC Project No 97-0343
The analytical results of water samples collected in August 2002 are summarized on Table 2 The
Ilaboratory reports(MAI Lab ID Nos 0208114-001 through 0208114-003),QA/QC report and chain-
of-custody form are included in Appendix B
I
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' Based on the data collected from the site, AGE finds
• Ground water flow at the site on 07 August 2002 was inferred to be generally toward the
northwest at an average gradient of 0 002 feet/feet, which is consistent with the dominant,
historical ground water flow direction at the site Ground water elevations at the site
' decreased in wells MW 1 through MW7 an average of 2 2 feet since the second quarter 2002
monitoring event
• TPH-g,TPH-d,BTEX and fuel additives were not detected at or above laboratory reporting
Ilimits in the ground water samples collected from wells MW4, MW5 and MW7
• The historically fuel-impacted wells MW 1, MW2 and MW3 were not purged or sampled
. during the August 2002 monitoring event due to insufficient amounts of water in these wells
In additions, well MW6 was not accessible and could not be sampled due operations
conducted at the site Maps depicting the approximate distribution of dissolved TPH-g,
TPH-d and benzene, interpreted from the previous momtonng events performed in 2002,are
presented in Figures 4, 5 and 6
• The lateral extent of the fuel-impacted ground water has been defined
I5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of the environmental activities recounted in this report, AGE recommends
continued quarterly monitoring of the on-site ground water monitoring wells, the next monitoring
event should be performed in November 2002 In addition, AGE is preparing a work plan to define
and assess deep fuel-impacted groundwater and conduct further feasibility studies as directed by the
EHD by letter dated 17 June 2002,the scope of work is anticipated to be completed during the fourth
quarter 2002
6 0.
