I received a new report from ENSECO on the <br /> fly ash which includes an LC50 test that shows the material we <br /> are dealing with is well below any harmful levels. I have <br /> included it with this letter. We are also set for the planning <br /> board on June 1, 1989 <br /> In response to some of your questions you had in your <br /> office, I have developed the fokiwing work plan: <br /> One concern you had was now the material would be stored on <br /> location? Let me start from the beginning. The minute the fly <br /> ash is unloaded we will mix it with our screen sand at a 20% / <br /> 80% or 30% / 70% ash to sand ratio. Our plan is to build a <br /> cement pad with drainage to a sump - pump. The run off will be <br /> put, in a water tank. <br /> Periodic testing will be done on the material when and if <br /> the coal is changed at the co-gen plant. <br /> Dupont in Antioch, has been working with the DOHS and begun <br /> selling a product that is very similar in chemical make-up to <br /> the material we will be marketing. Their material, in most <br /> cases, is even higher in metals content than ours. <br /> Because this is a fairly new process we are willing to take <br /> all the necessary precautions to minimize any potential threat <br /> to water quality. <br /> Enclosed please find a copy of the latest report from ENSCO <br /> and a copy of the environmental/regulatory data by Dupont. <br /> Let me know if you have any questions regarding this <br /> letter. <br /> ;.sincerely, <br /> Robert A.
