Maeys : <br /> Pacific Bell' is in the process of removing three 25, 000 gallon <br /> underground fuel storage tanks from underneath the ,sidewalk at <br /> 345 North San Joaquin Street, Stockton. <br /> After the tanks have been removed from the excavation, Pacific <br /> Bell will have Riedel Environmental take soil samples from the <br /> excavation floor and walls per your departments direction and <br /> have them analyzed for TPH/dies.el and TPH/BTEX by a mobile lab- <br /> oratory. <br /> If contamination 'is found, Pacific Bell will have the tank con- <br /> tractor dig until the excavation is found to be clean or has <br /> run out of room .to dig. <br /> Do to the shoring and Pacific Bell cable conduit on the North, <br /> East, and West walls, the building footing on the South wall, <br /> the only area that the digging can be continued in is the bottom <br /> of the excavation to a depth of 20 to 21 feet before the shoring <br /> will be in jeopardy. <br /> i <br /> If -contamination is still present after the above work has been <br /> completed, Pacific Bell will address the problem at that time . <br /> Sincerely <br /> Lyle Stuck <br /> Facility Engineer <br /> Pacific Bell <br />` F <br />
