if 'z 'j. •* J <br /> 2.0 SITE CHARACTERISTICS <br /> 2.1 SITE LOCATION <br /> Pacific Bell facility UE042 is located at 345 North San Joaquin <br /> Street in downtown Stockton, California (Figure 1) . The site <br /> (parcel No. 139-3.40-01) lies approximately 1000 feet east of <br /> McLeod Lake, which is the eastern end of the Port of Stockton <br /> slough. The site is located in the STOCYTON 7.5--minute USGS <br /> topographic sheet and is located in subsection D, Section ::, <br /> Township 2 North, Range 6 East of the Mt. Diablo base line and <br /> meridian. <br /> The site lies at approximately 12 feet msl and is essentially <br /> flat. Ground elevations increase eery little within several <br /> miles of the site. <br /> Properties surrounding the site are primarily commercial. <br /> 2.2 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> t <br /> Pacific Bell facility UE042 occupies one half a city block and is <br /> flanked by North San Joaquin Street, Lindsey Street, and Hunter <br /> Street. A large building occupies almost the entire site exCept <br /> for a microwave tower in the rear of the building. occupying <br /> the <br /> same block are law offices and a car dealership. The properties <br /> surrounding this block consist of car dealership, commercial <br /> establishments, a bank, a park, county, and federal buildings. <br /> Several UST's have been identified near the site with the nearest <br /> one located at a distance of 300 feet. <br /> California Water company Records indicate that there are no <br /> groundwater supply wells within a mile of the site. State Water <br /> Resources Control Board records show that water wells are (or <br /> 2-1 <br />
