YEAR 2000 TRAFFIC CONDITIONS
The traffic generated by the cumulative development was loaded onto both the
existing and also the future street network. The existing street network did not
include any mitigations to any of intersections in the study area. The future street
network, however, included the Arch/Sperry Road extension to the French Camp
Interchange with the Interstate 5 freeway. This improvement, as well as the extension
of the State Route 99 West Frontage Road to French Camp Road was assumed to be
in place for the year 2000 condition. Also, major improvements to the Arch
Road/State Route 99 freeway interchange were also assumed for the year 2000. The
various land use quantities used in the traffic model for the cumulative condition are
documented in Table V which follows.
TABLE V
LAND USE QUANTITIES
FOR THE CUMULATIVE CONDITION
IN THE YEAR 2000
LAND USE TYP UNIT QUANTITY
SINGLE FAMILY RES DWELLING UNITS........................11,755
MULTI FAMILY RES DWELLING UNITS..........................4,653
OFFICE/BUSINESS SQUARE FEET........................2,209,000
NEIGHBORHOOD COMM SQUARE FEET.............................13,000
HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL SQUARE FEET.............................30,000
COMMUNITY COMM SQUARE FEET........................1,693,000
MANUFACTURING ACRES ............................................. 290
SPORT COMPLEX ACRES ............................................... 50
LIGHT INDUSTRIAL SQUARE FEET......................17,692,000
HEAVY INDUSTRIAL SQUARE FEET......................28,213,000
Source: TJKM
February 1988
There were six intersections that were analyzed in this report for the cumulative traffic
scenario, and the results of the capacity analysis are summarized in Table VI which
follows. Table VI shows what effect the cumulative traffic volumes would have upon
the existing street system without any changes.
12
