ADDRESS PREVIOUS ACTION ITEMS <br /> The following attendees introduced themselves: Brad Beeman, BRAC Environmental <br /> Coordinator and Navy Co-chair; John Verkerk, Officer-in-Charge (OIC); Lang Huey, EFA West; <br /> Chris Fennessy, Tetra Tech EM Inc. (TtEMI); Maria Villafuerte, Gutierrez-Palmenberg, Inc. <br /> (GPI); Joe Salazar; Cliff Wisdom; Jeff Ray; Dana Suntag; Roger Storey, City of Stockton; Al <br /> Jesena, EFA West; Alan Grupe; and Kim Schwab, Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (RWQCB). <br /> Mr. Wisdom is a retired Naval commander and aviator, who has resided in Sacramento for 27 <br /> years. He expressed his appreciation at being able to attend the RAB meeting. <br /> Mr. Beeman called for changes to the minutes; none were voiced. <br /> II. SYNOPSIS OF THE DRAFT REMEDIAL INVESTIGATION (RI)REPORT FOR <br /> OPERABLE UNIT 3 (OU-3) <br /> Mr. Fenessy stated that the regulatory agencies have not yet had an opportunity to peruse this <br /> draft RI; the draft RI will be sent to the regulatory agencies shortly. OU-3 consists of ten landfill <br /> sites. The Naval Energy and Environmental Support Activity(NEESA)documents disposal <br /> activities on NCTS Stockton. The purpose of a remedial investigation(RI) is to determine the <br /> nature, extent, and associated risks of contamination in soil, groundwater, and air. The goals <br /> were to: gather sufficient information to evaluate the feasibility of a landfill as a final remedy, <br /> design a cap, conduct a water quality assessment, and examine the drainage channel bank <br /> sediment. <br /> 1 <br />
