The work plan has been prepared
for the purpose of characterizing soil and ground water conditions at the two former UST sites.
Results of soil and ground water samples will also be used to verify previous chemical analytical
data collected at the UST sites.
We have determined that the work plan is complete and recommend that field activities begin at your
earliest convenience. This approval is conditioned upon the Navy following the conditions listed
below:
1. The Navy should use precise quality control and quality assurance when physically sampling
ground water because of the nature of the volatile organics.
2. The Board requests that notification of field activities should be given at least 48 hours prior to
work so we may plan to observe operations.
If you have any questions please contact me at (916) 255-3078 or schwabk(a)rb5s.swrcb.ca.,gov.
Kim A.
