i
KLEINFELDER
4.2.1 Qualitative Field Screenin
To provide a qualitative indication of the presence of volatile organic constituents in the soil and
to monitor the constituent concentrations in.the breathing zone, a portable organic vapor analyzer
was used to screen the samples in the fieid. The plhotovac Micro-Fipo photo-ionization detector
(PID) was used to measure total ionizable compounds in parts per million by volume (ppmv) of
vapor.
Soil samples obtained Nacre screened in the field. and the 11,I1) readings were recorded on the
boring logs. No odors or discoloration were noted in soil samples collected during advancement
of soil borings 13-1 throu, h 13-4. PID readings for the samples collected I-anged from 2.4 to 103
ppti3v.
4.2.2 Sample 1-landlin*
After collection. the soil samples were labeled, logged on a chain-of-custody, and immediately
L+ stored in an iced cooler. The samples %were transported and transferred under chain of custody
control to Kleinl-elder's off-ice acid then transported by courier in a sealed container to Sequoia
Analytical of Sacramento- California (Sequoia) for chemical analyses. Sequoia is certified by the
LCalifornia Department of Health (D1-1S) to perform the requested analyses.
20-2864-02.L'0312019R032 Pace 7 of 12
ri inno i i,.: r..i,i i,..• Januann, lit, 1999
