Health and Safety Plan July 18, 1994 <br /> Law/Crandall Project Golden Final <br /> 5.3 Work Limitations <br /> Work limitations include the following: <br /> • No eating, drinking, or smoking will be permitted in the field operation <br /> area. <br /> • Contact lenses will not be worn in the field operation area. <br /> • Facial hair that could interfere with respirator fit will not be permitted. <br /> • The buddy system will be used at all times. <br /> • Work will be done during the daylight hours only. <br /> • Site activities will not be conducted during lightning storms. <br /> 5.4 Decontamination Procedures <br /> 5.4.1 Decontamination Area <br /> Set decontamination area upwind and upgradient of the work area, as necessary. The <br /> decontamination area must be established at a sufficient distance from the drilling locations to <br /> preclude contamination by splashing water or flying dirt. <br /> 5.4.2 Personnel Decontamination <br /> Remove and dispose of disposal clothing and equipment. Remove boots and then outer gloves. <br /> Remove respirator and finally remove inner gloves. Wash hands and face with soap and water. <br /> Clean non-disposable equipment used. Containerize rinsate on-site for proper disposal. Take a <br /> shower and wash hair as soon as possible after leaving the site. <br /> 15 <br />
