PERSONAL PROTECTION: <br /> Level of Protection: B ❑ C 1-1 D ❑X (with modifications) Modifications: See A.1 below <br /> 1. All personnel working on UPRR Sites must wear hardhats,safety glasses,neon traffic safety vests(must comply with 23 CFR 634 <br /> high visibility clothing-ANSI/ISEA 107 Class 2 Lime colored), and safety shoes. All PPE must be fully deployed from the time of <br /> site entry departure from the site. Hearing protection must be kept with personnel at all times for quick deployment. <br /> Personnel working in the Exclusion Zone must also wear eye\face,and hand PPE appropriate to the task. <br /> 2. (Nitrile) gloves and tyvek/saranex suit should be worn if contact with contaminated water or soil is likely. <br /> Tyvek tops shall be worn when gauging wells with free product or engaging in free product removal <br /> 3. Hearing protection,in the form of plugs or muffs, must be worn when Antea Group Employees are within: <br /> • 100 feet of a locomotive/Refrigeration Car or roadway/work equipment <br /> • 15 feet of power operated tools <br /> • 150 feet of jet blowers or pile drivers <br /> • When background noise is so high that a worker has to shout to be heard at a distance of 3 feet. <br /> • 150 feet of retarders in use(when within 10 feet,Contractor Employees must wear dual ear protection–plugs and muffs) <br /> 4. No smoking,eating,or drinking is allowed in the exclusion or contamination reduction zones. No Smoking anywhere on site. <br /> 5. No Antea Group personnel shall conduct a confined space entry. In addition, No personnel shall approach any excavation area <br /> where there is danger of a wall collapse. <br /> 6. Respiratory protection is dependent on conditions listed below Section VII.13.3. <br /> PPE <br /> All Antea Group personnel and subcontractors who enter the site will be required to wear modified Level D PPE which will be fully <br /> deployed at all times while on the UPRR sites. Upgrades to modified Level D(tyvek)will be needed when handling free product. <br /> Level C may be necessary depending on site conditions and/or air monitoring.Current respirator fit testing documentation is <br /> required for personnel who may upgrade to Level C PPE attire. <br /> 8 <br />
