INTRODUCTION
At the request of Dr Sonya Olbrantz of Masonite International,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc
(AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 433 West Scotts Avenue,
Stockton, California(site) The site and the surrounding area are Illustrated on Figure 1 Structures,
' borings, and well locations are Illustrated on Figure 2 Additional site background information is
summarized in Appendix A
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
' On 24 June 2005, ground water monitoring was performed on monitoring wells MW-1 through
MW-3 Field work was conducted in accordance with guidelines issued by the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (EHD) for the sampling of ground water monitoring wells and
' Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for the investigation
of underground storage tank (UST) sites
• 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
' The depth to ground water in each monitoring well was measured from the top of the well casing to
the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water elevation in each well was
calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevation
(Table 1)
' After water levels were measured, a dedicated Waterra hose bailer was used to purge wells MW-1,
MW-2 and MW-3 of approximately 9, 8 5, 9 gallons of water (a minimum of three casing water
volumes per well),respectively Ground water temperature,pH,and conductivity were measured at
' regular Intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included
in Appendix B Purged water was stored on-site in properly labeled, Department of Transportation
(DOT)-approved 55-gallon drums
I
2 2 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
Water samples were collected from each purged well using a dedicated inertiaum hose after
p p
allowing the wells to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water
sample was transferred into three laboratory supplied, 40-milliliter (ml) volatile organic analysis
(VOA)vials containing 0 5 ml 18%hydrochloric acid solution as a preservative, one 1-liter amber
bottle without preservative, and one 16-ounce plastic bottle containing 5 ml nitric acid as a sample
Advanced GeoEn"ronmental,Inc
1
