(Canonie), on behalf of Mr. Gerald Thiemann, <br /> is requesting an encroachment permit for the installation of groundwater monitoring <br /> wells at Former Thiemann's Service Station located at 106 West Second Street in <br /> Ripon, California (Plate 1). The monitoring wells are required to complete a <br /> subsurface investigation to determine the extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in <br /> groundwater beneath the site. The investigation has been requested by San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (Attachment 1). The <br /> locations of the proposed monitoring wells are shown on Plate 2. The work to be <br /> performed at the site is described in the Workplan for Site Investigation and in the <br /> Addendum to Workplan for Site Investigation included in Attachment 2. Please send to <br /> Canonie's Escalon office permit applications or any other forms required for submittal <br /> to the City of Ripon.
